As our new Associate Inside Sales Engineer, Commercial Building Services, you'll be supporting the sales cycle for datacentre and commercial building projects - from technical solution development to customer engagement - that helps Grundfos expand its footprint in one of the fastest-growing infrastructure segments. What you will be doing?
As a key part of the Commercial Building Services Sales team, you'll create impact by partnering with customers and external sales teams to deliver technically sound, energy-efficient pumping solutions that power the datacentres shaping our digital future.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers for datacentre and commercial building projects, working closely with external sales colleagues and CSSC colleagues in back office and proposals
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, product selections, and system proposals using Grundfos sizing tools
- Deliver proactive desk-based account management, building and maintaining relationships with consultants, contractors, and end users across the UK and Ireland
- Collaborate with application engineers to develop tailored solutions that meet project specifications and sustainability goals
- Generate leads, qualify and nurture opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline with timely follow-up from initial enquiry through to order
- Stay current on datacentre market trends, competitor activity, and Grundfos product developments to identify new opportunities
What makes you a great fit
Above all, you're a technically curious sales professional with a solid understanding of HVAC or pumping systems, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in the datacentre and commercial building sectors. We'd also imagine that you are/have:
- Degree or diploma in mechanical/building services engineering or a related technical discipline
- 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, technical sales support, or application engineering within HVAC, pumps, or building services
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements
- A strong collaborative mindset
- High energy and a tenacious approach, with the ability to handle rejection and persevere
- A good understanding of the vertical market focus and overall strategic objectives
- Proficiency with CRM tools and product selection/sizing software
It's a plus if you also:
- Experience with or exposure to the datacentre cooling or critical infrastructure market
- Familiarity with Grundfos products, sizing tools, or similar pump manufacturer platforms
- Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and sustainability frameworks relevant to commercial buildings
