Internal Controls Specialist SOX

Role: Internal Controls Specialist SOXLocation: Winnipeg, MBType: Contract(3.5 Months)Rate: CAD65/hr - CAD75/hr

Job Description:

Role Deliverables

• The role will include completion of control walkthroughs and design assessments,
• Assistance management with remediations,
• Control documentation
• Evidence review and control testing.

Education/Work Experience

• The ideal candidate will be a CPA and may also hold a CIA and/or CISA designation
• 5+ years working in Internal Controls, preferably within a US listed SOX organization or working with US SOX clients within a public accounting firm.

Technical Skills

• Technical SOX knowledge
• Proficiency with Microsoft/Google suits
• Experience with GRC tech (Workiva)
• AI tools including co-pilot an asset.

Other Skills

• Ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills including the ability to; provide hands-on support to management in documenting controls, conducting walkthroughs and providing coaching to management.
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
