Job Summary

Senior AtScale Architect / Developer Role Overview We are looking for a Senior AtScale Architect / Developer with strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale semantic layers using AtScale. The individual will be responsible for defining the semantic architecture, designing reusable business models and metrics, integrating AtScale with modern cloud data platforms, and enabling high-performance analytics across BI and reporting tools. The role requires a combination of solution architecture, multidimensional/data modeling, AtScale development, SQL, performance optimization, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of AtScale-based enterprise semantic layers. Design scalable semantic models, dimensions, measures, hierarchies, calculated metrics, and business KPIs. Establish semantic modeling standards to enable consistent definitions and reusable business logic across analytics applications. Develop and configure AtScale models supporting complex analytical and reporting requirements. Architect AtScale integration with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric/Azure, or similar platforms. Integrate the semantic layer with BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and Excel. Define approaches for logical and physical model optimization to support large-scale analytical workloads. Perform query and model performance analysis and optimize complex analytical workloads. Work with data engineering teams on underlying lakehouse/warehouse models, dimensional models, fact tables, dimensions, aggregations, and data pipelines. Design semantic models that support governed, reusable enterprise metrics rather than duplicating business logic across individual reports. Define security and access-control patterns for governed analytics. Establish development standards, naming conventions, model governance, deployment practices, versioning, and release processes. Troubleshoot complex issues spanning the BI layer, semantic models, SQL/query generation, and underlying data platforms. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to AtScale developers and downstream BI teams. Collaborate with business, data engineering, BI, architecture, and governance teams to translate business definitions into technical semantic models. Support migration of existing BI semantic models and business logic into an enterprise AtScale semantic layer. Participate in requirements analysis, estimation, technical design, testing, deployment, and production support. Create architecture documents, semantic model documentation, design specifications, and operational/runbook documentation. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with AtScale, including development and architecture of semantic models. Strong understanding of semantic-layer architecture and multidimensional modeling concepts. Experience defining measures, dimensions, hierarchies, calculated metrics, and reusable business KPIs. Excellent SQL skills and experience troubleshooting complex analytical queries. Strong understanding of: Star and snowflake schemas Fact and dimension modeling Data warehouse/lakehouse architecture Aggregations and query optimization Slowly Changing Dimensions Enterprise data governance Strong experience with at least one modern cloud analytical platform, preferably Databricks or Snowflake; experience with BigQuery or Microsoft Fabric is beneficial. Experience

• 10+ years of overall Data & Analytics / BI experience.
• 3+ years preferred in semantic-layer, OLAP, or multidimensional architecture.
• Significant hands-on AtScale implementation experience.

Prior experience acting as a technical lead or solution architect for enterprise analytics implementations
