Lead Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Specialist / Lead Business Analyst with strong expertise in Business Process Modelling (BPM) to support strategic transformation initiatives within the Life & Health Insurance domain. The role will be responsible for analysing business processes, defining future-state operating models, supporting solution design, driving change management activities, and collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver business-driven digital solutions. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business process discovery, analysis, and modelling using BPM methodologies (As-Is and To-Be process mapping).
• Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder workshops and facilitate business process improvement sessions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Business SMEs to define solution requirements.
• Support solution architecture and system design by translating business requirements into functional specifications.
• Perform impact analysis for new business initiatives, regulatory changes, and process improvements.
• Drive Change Management activities, including stakeholder communication, business readiness, training support, and adoption planning.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and production readiness activities.
• Analyse insurance business data to identify trends, operational improvements, and process optimization opportunities.
• Ensure business solutions align with organizational objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver successful business transformation initiatives.

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Specialist, or Lead Business Analyst.
• Strong experience in the Life & Health Insurance or Reinsurance domain is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of underwriting, policy administration, claims, actuarial processes, and insurance product lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with global business and technology teams across multiple geographies.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation, modernization, or system implementation programs.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, BPM, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certifications are desirable.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a customer-focused and outcome-driven mindset.
