Job Summary
SAP Basis Administrator (L2) with 6+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, transport management, performance optimization, incident resolution, and operational support. Responsible for maintaining SAP landscape availability, executing Basis administration activities, supporting upgrades and maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring stable SAP operations. SAP BASIS is identified as a dedicated Platform & Operations service area.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support SAP Basis environments across multiple SAP systems.
- Monitor SAP application servers, system health, jobs, and interfaces.
- Manage SAP transports, client administration, user administration, and system configuration.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities.
- Support SAP refreshes, upgrades, kernel updates, and patch implementation.
- Execute backup validation, system maintenance, and operational activities.
- Troubleshoot SAP system, connectivity, batch job, and transport-related issues.
- Support incident, service request, problem, and change management processes.
- Coordinate with SAP Functional, Security, Database, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
- Participate in planned maintenance and on-call support activities.
Skill Requirements
Strong experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP Fiori, and SAP Solution Manager.
- Experience with SAP transports, client copies, system monitoring, and job scheduling.
- Knowledge of SAP architecture, application servers, and landscape management.
- Experience with SAP upgrades, patching, kernel maintenance, and system refresh activities.
- Understanding of database and operating system concepts supporting SAP environments.
- Experience with SAP user administration and Basis operational support.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, ServiceNow, and operational support models.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
