From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. In the role ofDrinking WaterEngineering Intern, we'll count on you to:
- Gain real-world experience on excitingwater, wastewater, pipeline, pump station, and treatment facilityprojects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
- Apply standard engineering techniques and proceduresto the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water infrastructure projects
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Managersupporting water conveyance, storage, and treatment systems
- Assist with engineering analyses, hydraulic calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and construction support activities for water and wastewater facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on the development of sustainable and resilient water infrastructure solutions
- Support project teams with data collection, hydraulic modeling, engineering analyses, cost estimating, specification preparation, and construction-phase services
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Office products, Autodesk, or similar CAD software's.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
