Founded in 1929 (originally established as the American Record Corporation, later operating as CBS Records before being acquired by Sony in 1988), Sony Music Entertainment is a global music and commercial audio entertainment enterprise headquartered in New York City, New York. Operating as one of the world's "Big Three" music conglomerates, the company specializes in talent discovery and development (A&R), recorded music production, music publishing, digital distribution, podcast creation, and synchronization licensing.

The Artist Campaign Manager is responsible for developing and executing impactful marketing campaigns that maximise the visibility, cultural relevance, and commercial performance of Sony Music’s repertoire. Working across local and international priorities, the role partners closely with artists, management, international teams and internal departments to drive audience engagement, streaming growth and long-term value across digital, physical and emerging platforms.

This role plays a key part in bringing campaigns to life - balancing creative storytelling, audience development, digital innovation and commercial thinking to ensure Sony Music’s catalogue continues to connect with both existing and new generations of fans.

What you'll do:

  • Manage a roster of international and domestic projects, acting as the day-to-day marketing lead and key internal point of contact.
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns that drive revenue, audience growth and long-term artist value.
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities within Sony’s long-tail of repertoire and trending tracks to drive campaigns that generate growth across D2C, CRM and streaming marketshare.
  • Collaborate closely with Domestic roster artist teams, International label affiliates and global teams on campaign strategy and execution.
  • Work cross-functionally with Digital, Audience Development, Legal, Publicity & Radio, Licensing and Analytics teams and act as the evangelist for your priorities across these divisions.
  • Work in partnership with digital, audience and analytics teams to leverage data, audience insights and cultural trends to optimise digital marketing and creator campaign performance.
  • Contribute to the development of creative campaign ideas, digital activations and strategic marketing opportunities across the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, management teams and international label affiliates, representing Sony Music Australia with passion and professionalism.
  • Create insightful campaign reporting that educates the broader departments on where collaborative opportunities lie.
  • Monitor changes in the market, with an emphasis on the industry, competitors and campaigns. Identify emerging trends and social media patterns and educate the wider team on how to infuse them into artist campaigns.
  • Bring an innovative, collaborative and solutions-focused mindset to the role, with a willingness to experiment, adapt and learn in a fast-moving environment.

Who you are:

  • You are a highly motivated, curious thinker with 3+ years’ experience in music, entertainment or a related marketing environment.
  • You are passionate about music, culture, audience behaviour and digital marketing; immersed in internet culture and aware of how culture intersects with life online.
  • You have a strong understanding of how fans engage with artists, songs, and content across platforms from digital to physical.
  • You are a committed project manager who can organise a varied and full workload, prioritise, work under pressure and problem solve to see an idea through to completion.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across artists, management and internal stakeholders, locally or internationally.
  • Creative thinker with an instinct for storytelling, audience engagement and culturally relevant marketing.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across departments and contributing to a team-first environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms, audience growth and modern music marketing ecosystems.
