Job Description:

The Chief of Staff serves as a trusted partner and extension of the SVP/GM of Data Center Networking, driving day-to-day execution, coordination, and accountability across the business.

This leader brings structure to complex decisions, surfaces risks and tradeoffs, and enables the Engineering leadership team to operate with greater speed, focus, and agility. A unique opportunity to learn the business end-to-end and see the broader picture across technology, product, customers, go-to-market, operations, and business growth while working closely with the SVP/GM.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive coordination & execution: Execute across Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and People teams to remove roadblocks, drive priorities and commitments to closure, and ensure customer escalations are addressed with urgency.
• Operate with urgency: Proactively accelerate outcomes. Surface issues early, coordinate resolution, and provide senior leaders with concise insights into performance, investment choices, and organizational health.
• Manage communications and represent the SVP/GM: Review and respond to routine matters, surface items requiring attention, participate in selected meetings, and drive follow-through on their behalf.
• Develop executive presentations and messaging: Partner with Marketing and Communications to shape high-impact presentations and messaging that reflect and reinforce the SVP/GM’s voice, style, and standards.
• Travel & support key engagements: Travel with the SVP/GM as needed for key customer meetings and events to help prepare, drive outcomes, and ensure follow-through.
• Run operating rhythm: Support staff meetings, business reviews, metrics, and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s engineering degree with 12+ years of experience in Engineering or Product Management, ideally in networking or data center infrastructure.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a complex, fast-paced matrixed environment.
• Strong technical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Relentless follow-through, urgency, judgment, and discretion.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and influencing across organizations.
• Demonstrated success leading large cross-functional initiatives in a complex technology environment.
• Willing to travel as needed, up to 20%.

How Success Will Be Measured

Successfully offload day-to-day execution and operational responsibilities from the SVP/GM, stay ahead of issues, and drive actions to closure enabling the SVP/GM to spend more time with customers, on strategic priorities, and growing the business.
