Task

Technical leadership post-sales for strategic customers in big data projectsDesign and implementation of big data projects from architectural design to data engineering and model deploymentIdentification and driving of new initiatives to turn data into actionable business value aligned with business goalsArchitecture of production-level workloads including performance testing and optimization of end-to-end pipeline loadsDelivery of tutorials and training sessions to promote community adoption including hackathons and conference presentations

Expectation

Hands-on and technical expertise with Apache SparkHands-on experience with Databricks over several large-scale projectsDatabricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certificationProven experience in designing and implementing big data technologies including Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAPOver 5 years of experience as Software Engineer or Data Engineer including query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Spark and/or other big data solutionsProficiency in programming with Python, Scala, or JavaExperience designing and using solutions on cloud infrastructure and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCPFamiliarity with development tools for CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation and orchestration, REST API, BI tools, and SQL interfaces (e.g., Jenkins)Excellent communication skills and comfort in presenting to strategic stakeholders and leadershipExperience in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture guidance, or consultingPassion for learning new technologies and ensuring customer successBusiness-fluent in English and German with effective communication in professional and customer-facing environments

Other

Desired experience in Data Science/ML Engineering including model selection, model lifecycle, hyper-parameter tuning, model serving, deep learning, using tools like MLFlow
