As our engineering organization scales rapidly across multiple squads - spanning backend microservices, data warehousing, machine learning, and frontend interfaces - maintaining developer velocity, standardization, and infrastructure reliability becomes our biggest operational leverage. We are building a dedicated Platform Engineering function to create a world-class Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that treats developers as our primary "users." The Role & Impact :

We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Platform Engineer (Developer Experience & Internal Tooling) to take ownership of our internal infrastructure automation, developer portals, CI/CD templates, and shared deployment primitives. In this role, you will work at the intersection of DevOps, software engineering, and security. You won't just write scripts; you will architect self-service developer workflows that abstract away the complexity of Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud networking. Your work will directly accelerate our deployment frequency, reduce lead times for changes, and enforce enterprise-grade security and compliance standards natively across all engineering squads without slowing them down.

Key Responsibilities :

- Internal Developer Platform (IDP) Architecture : Design, build, and scale our custom internal developer portal and self-service provisioning cli tools, enabling engineers to spin up microservices, databases, and staging environments in minutes.

- CI/CD Pipeline Standardization : Architect, optimize, and maintain reusable, hardened CI/CD pipeline templates (via GitHub Actions) that incorporate automated testing, security scanning (SAST/DAST), and container building out-of-the-box.

- Kubernetes & Infrastructure Automation : Manage core Kubernetes cluster primitives, service meshes (such as Istio or Linkerd), ingress controllers, and immutable infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Atlantis.

- Developer Onboarding & Experience : Streamline local development workflows using Docker, Devcontainers, and micro-service scaffolding tools to reduce new engineer ramp-up time from weeks to days.

- Observability & Guardrails Integration : Implement monitoring for internal platform services, establish feedback loops for build performance, and embed compliance guardrails directly into developer self-service workflows.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Security, DevOps, and Product Engineering squads to understand pain points, collect feedback, and continuously iterate on internal tooling architecture.

Requirements :

- Experience : 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Automation, or senior DevOps roles within high-growth tech product companies.

- Technical Mastery : Deep proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt), and modern CI/CD orchestration engines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).

- Programming Fluency : Strong scripting and software development skills in Go, Python, or Bash, with the ability to build robust internal command-line utilities and automation services.

- Cloud Competency : Comprehensive hands-on experience managing cloud architecture, IAM security policies, networking, and serverless compute primitives on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Empathy & Communication : Strong product mindset with an empathetic approach toward developer experience, exceptional documentation skills, and a collaborative attitude.
