Job Description:
Your New Role
Working on a shiftbasisbased (days & afters) at the TMC you will be responsible forliaisingwithFleet Planning todevelop and deliver the operational maintenance schedulewith the necessary information to allow the effective and efficient execution of rolling stock maintenance in accordance with contractual requirements.
What you’ll be doing
Focus on the local daily and weekly maintenanceplan for the Train Maintenance centre (TMC)in order todevelop and continually refine the maintenance schedule for the IEP/WOEClass 800/2fleets.
Review, prioritise and schedule maintenance taskswith the Team Leaders& Fleet Planningin accordance withmaintenance planpriorities.
Identifyany restrictions & resourcecapacitythat could affect the delivery of the maintenance plan. Work with the local management and Fleet Planningto reduce the effect of the restriction.
Review SAP notification, ensuring material demands are in place, & coordinate with Material colleges to ensure correct stock of material.
Identify, coordinate and leverage resources to enable the maintenance schedule including the technical information and any material required.
Coordinate the work of contractors and external repair agencies into the maintenance schedule.
Monitor the backlog of defects in order toreduce the amount of reactive maintenance and improve reliability.
Be reactive to incidents, disruptions and emergencies on the operational railway and amend the maintenance schedule accordingly; record decisions to drive improvement.
Ensure defects in-service and emerging work is incorporated into the maintenance schedule.
Liaise with Fleet Planning,the Duty Shift Manager (DSM) and Team Leaders (TL) to agree the maintenance plan to be executed.
Administer and manage technical investigations to ensure timelyresolution.
Utilise the SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS) and other IT applications in order toinform and develop the workload plan.
Ensuring SOROS is accurateat all times.
Review of all defects and correct coding in SAP in line with IEP/WOEcontractual obligations.
Prepare reports and give verbal briefs as required.
Participate in the daily conference calls& planning meetings.
Act as the SAP super user for the TMC.
Co-ordinate with the Training Department to plan training and assessment while maintainingresource requirements.
Promote, supportand comply withall health and safety practices in the workplace.
Any other duties as directed by the Production Planning Manager.
About you
Essential
Licences / Competences
Previousexperience of scheduling maintenance and production.
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent problem solvingskills and ability to think quickly.
Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - SAP, Maximoor Equinox.
Qualifications
Vocational qualifications and experience.
Behavioural
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to representHitachi in a professional manner at all times.
Ability to develop and maintaineffective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Desirable
Licences / Competences
Intermediate IT skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Previousexperience of rolling stock maintenance.
