It makes aircraft engines, avionics and other aerospace systems, building automation, fire and security products, industrial automation and process control systems, sensors and warehouse automation, and sells related software. Listed on Nasdaq, the company spun off its advanced materials business as Solstice Advanced Materials in 2025 and plans to separate its aerospace business in 2026. It hires engineers, field service and building management technicians, and sales and channel managers, with large hubs in Bengaluru, Pune and Charlotte.

As a Control Systems Coordinator here at Honeywell, you will coordinate the full project lifecycle for control, safety, automation, industrial network, telecommunications, and packaged-equipment systems. You will serve as the central interface among customers, project teams, vendors, and site personnel to deliver integrated systems that meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and applicable standards.

You will report directly to our E&IC Sr. Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Rosemont IL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will help improve the efficiency and reliability of integrated control systems, support project execution from concept through handover, and contribute to successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Direct control-systems scope from concept and front-end design through engineering, procurement, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and handover.
  • Define interfaces, deliverables, priorities, schedules, and ownership across customers, project teams, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
  • Lead reviews and resolve technical queries, risks, changes, dependencies, action items, punch lists, and acceptance issues.
  • Manage I/O lists, sizing, cabinets, marshalling, controller loading, redundancy, power, grounding, and interface registers.
  • Review P&IDs, narratives, cause-and-effect and logic diagrams, specifications, drawings, HMI graphics, trends, historian requirements, and human-factors compliance.
  • Lead alarm philosophy and rationalization, including priorities, shelving, suppression, testing, and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate fired-heater burner management system (BMS) permissives, purge, ignition, flame monitoring, trips, shutdown logic, testing, and package interfaces.
  • Oversee industrial networks, segmentation, redundancy, time synchronization, remote access, and fieldbus design, loading, power, addressing, diagnostics, and commissioning.
  • Integrate plant communications, PA/Ga, radio, CCTV, access control, telephone, and data infrastructure.
  • Define 3rd party vendor-skid requirements for PLC/HMI, I/O, communications, shutdowns, data exchange, alarms, and testing.
  • Review 3rd party vendor designs and test procedures; coordinate the integration of 3rd party PLC, SIS, SCADA, analyzer, electrical, BMS, and related subsystems.
  • Apply project standards, specifications, and quality-plan requirements; support estimates, resource planning, technical evaluations, change control, and schedule recovery.
  • Coordinate installation, loop checks, integration testing, commissioning, startup, training, turnover, backups, as-built documentation, lessons learned, and standardization.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process control, automation, safety systems, industrial networks, and related industrial control technologies, including Experion PKS, PLC, SIS, SCADA, HMI, F&G, and packaged control systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with control system architecture, field instrumentation and I/O, industrial communications/networks, alarm management, functional safety deliverables, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and execute projects across multiple engineering disciplines, project phases, customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes, functional safety standards, and engineering practices, with the ability to interpret P&IDs, control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams, logic diagrams, network architectures, and vendor documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Travel up to 10% domestic and international.

WE VALUE

  • Ability to communicate technical issues, decisions, risks, and status clearly to customers and project leadership.
  • Ability to Influence multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with Honeywell control systems and technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, project collaboration tools, and engineering document-management systems.
