Job Summary

The Commercial Systems Software Engineering organization is developing next-generation AI software platforms that enable intelligent, secure, and scalable experiences across client and edge computing environments.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Program Management Office and drive strategy, planning, governance, risk management, and execution across AI software initiatives focused on enterprise IT management, policy enforcement, security controls, and device governance. This role will partner with software architects, engineering leaders, product teams, enterprise IT organizations, and external technology partners to ensure AI platform capabilities align with enterprise management requirements and operational controls.

The successful candidate must have prior knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies for client and edge devices, combined with deep understanding of enterprise endpoint management, Intune, Windows management technologies, device policies, security controls, and enterprise deployment practices. Executive reporting and presentation experience are essential. The individual must be able to translate complex technical, operational, and policy requirements into actionable execution plans and leadership recommendations.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Planning & Execution

  • Translate AI platform strategy and enterprise management requirements into integrated program plans, milestones, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive complex AI and systems software initiatives from architecture and planning through development, validation, and deployment.
  • Coordinate execution across architecture, engineering, security, IT, product management, and business organizations.
  • Establish program objectives, deliverables, dependencies, readiness criteria, and success metrics.
  • Manage technical, operational, security, compliance, and partner-related risks and dependencies.
  • Drive alignment across multiple organizations toward a common policy, governance, and deployment strategy.

IT Policies & Controls Leadership

  • Partner with enterprise IT organizations to define policy requirements for AI-enabled platforms and services.
  • Drive alignment between AI platform capabilities and enterprise device-management, security, compliance, and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate implementation plans for AI-related controls, management policies, deployment policies, and operational guardrails.
  • Work closely with Microsoft Intune, Windows management, endpoint security, compliance, and device-management stakeholders.
  • Ensure AI platform capabilities can be effectively governed, deployed, configured, monitored, and managed within enterprise environments.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding policy enforcement, user controls, administrative controls, security boundaries, and data-protection requirements.
  • Track evolving enterprise AI management requirements and coordinate integration into platform roadmaps.

Cross-Functional & Partner Coordination

  • Coordinate activities across software architecture, engineering, IT, security, compliance, support, and partner organizations.
  • Drive alignment between platform services, enterprise-management capabilities, operating-system features, and security controls.
  • Manage dependencies involving ecosystem partners, operating-system vendors, device-management providers, and enterprise software vendors.
  • Coordinate architecture reviews, planning sessions, design reviews, and decision forums.

Executive Reporting & Governance

  • Create executive-ready dashboards, scorecards, program reviews, risk assessments, and decision-support materials.
  • Present program status, accomplishments, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Translate technical and policy-related topics into clear business implications and decision points.
  • Support governance reviews and executive forums that drive strategic decisions and cross-functional alignment.
  • Apply PMO frameworks, governance practices, and reporting standards to improve delivery predictability and execution excellence.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Management, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience in technical program management, platform delivery, enterprise software, IT management, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex software programs involving multiple engineering teams, products, organizations, and external partners.
  • Experience working with enterprise endpoint-management, device-management, security, or compliance programs.
  • Experience partnering with architects, engineering leaders, security teams, and enterprise IT organizations.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed and globally distributed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting program status, risks, recommendations, and decisions to senior executives.

Required AI, IT & Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of AI and machine-learning concepts, AI runtimes, AI deployment models, and agentic AI architectures.

  • Understanding of enterprise identity, security, compliance, privacy, and governance concepts.
  • Familiarity with software architecture, platform integration, APIs, telemetry, security controls, and modern software-development practices.
  • Ability to engage credibly in technical discussions and convert architecture and policy decisions into execution plans and deliverables.

Program Management & Executive Communication Skills

  • Proven success leading complex technology programs involving software platforms, enterprise services, security requirements, and external dependencies.
  • Strong experience in integrated planning, roadmap management, milestone tracking, and governance.
  • Expertise managing risks, issues, decisions, assumptions, and cross-organizational dependencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining an accurate view of overall program health.

  • Ability to communicate technical, operational, and policy-related complexity in terms of business impact and customer value.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and establish alignment without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

The individual connects AI platform strategy, enterprise IT requirements, architecture, planning, and execution while providing leadership with the visibility and decision support required to deploy AI capabilities securely and responsibly at scale.

Complexity

Manages highly interdependent programs spanning AI software, systems architecture, enterprise IT management, endpoint governance, security controls, compliance requirements, and ecosystem partnerships. Success requires expertise in AI technologies, enterprise device-management practices, policy frameworks, and cross-organizational execution, along with the ability to influence senior leaders and communicate effectively across technical, operational, and business audiences.
