We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Administer and support Customer Information Control System environments across production and non-production platforms.
• Configure and maintain regions and system resources, including transactions, programs, files, queues, connections, and sessions.
• Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and health, and proactively address potential issues.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents involving transaction failures, system abends, performance degradation, connectivity, and resource constraints.
• Support system maintenance, upgrades, releases, production changes, and lifecycle management activities.
• Work with technology teams to support integration with Db2 databases, IBM MQ messaging, Virtual Storage Access Method files, and TCP/IP services.
• Participate in disaster recovery, failover, resilience testing, and production support activities, including on-call support when required.
• Develop operational documentation, recovery procedures, automation scripts, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience supporting CICS on IBM z/OS.
• Good understanding of CICS architecture, system initialization, region design, and resource definitions.
• Practical knowledge of integration with Db2, IBM MQ, Virtual Storage Access Method, TCP/IP, and other z/OS services.
• Experience in production support, incident management, problem management, change implementation, and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of IBM mainframe tools and utilities, including Job Control Language, Restructured Extended Executor, Interactive System Productivity Facility, and System Display and Search Facility.
• Experience with Customer Information Control Sysplex, Customer Information Control Sysplex System Manager, and Web User Interface.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams and support critical services in a regulated environment
