1. Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a web-based mooring analysis platform using Python, React, and TypeScript.
Develop and improve Python-based mooring analysis programs, integrate web interfaces with the existing calculation engine, and implement engineering data visualization and result reporting.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, programming, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous platform upgrades.
Work collaboratively in a small three-person engineering software team, contributing across different technical areas as project requirements evolve.
Explore and apply new technologies, including LLM/AI applications, to improve engineering analysis automation and software capabilities.
2. Technical Requirements
Proficient in Python programming, with good knowledge of object-oriented programming, modular design, debugging, and software maintenance.
Experience in frontend web development using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and web application integration.
Candidates must demonstrate at least one website or web application they have previously developed and explain their implementation and technical contributions.
Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies, solve problems independently, and work across both backend and frontend development.
Experience with scientific computing, engineering software, data visualization, or AI/LLM application development is an advantage.
3. Candidate Profile and Development Opportunities
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Practical software development experience is preferred; candidates with strong programming fundamentals and learning ability will also be considered.
Willingness to take ownership of different parts of the software platform and contribute beyond a narrowly defined job scope.
Interest in learning offshore mooring engineering, hydrodynamics, OrcaFlex-based analysis, and future AI/LLM applications.
Opportunity to participate in the development and long-term evolution of an engineering analysis platform, combining software engineering with specialized offshore engineering knowledge
