At Husqvarna Construction in Åsbro, we are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to help develop our manufacturing operations and strengthen performance across the site.

The role

In this role, you will combine industrial engineering, process development, and continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality, and delivery performance. You will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring that our production setup remains efficient, safe, and future-ready.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be a member of the site management team, contributing to both operational and strategic development. The position is based at our modern manufacturing facility in Åsbro, where we place strong emphasis on quality, safety, employee well-being, and creating a workplace where people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and warehouse operations.

  • Lead productivity enhancement activities, including line balancing and time studies.

  • Develop and improve production layouts, assembly methods, work instructions, and tooling solutions.

  • Manage production equipment, fixtures, and related investment projects.

  • Monitor and improve operational performance, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and Direct Labor Productivity.

This position is based at our site inÅsbro, just outside of Örebro.

Your Profile

You are a Production Engineer who enjoys working close to operations and turning ideas into practical improvements. You thrive in a manufacturing environment and have a genuine interest in optimizing processes, solving problems, and creating sustainable results.

With experience from production and assembly environments, you understand how efficient workflows are created through well-balanced production lines, smart workplace design, and effective material flows.

You are familiar with production equipment, tooling, and industrial improvement methods, and enjoy collaborating across functions to achieve common goals.

Experience with PFMEA, DFA, CE certification, and ESD requirements is considered an advantage.

As this role involves a high degree of ownership and independent decision-making, you are self-driven, structured, and proactive. You take initiative, identify opportunities for improvement, and have the confidence to move projects and activities forward while working both independently and as part of the wider management team.

We believe you have:

  • A university degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Experience from a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with Excel and ERP systems.

  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • The ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results.
