Presales Engineer - Technical Presales

Job Description:
We are looking for a Presales Engineer to work closely with the sales, product and engineering teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
The ideal candidate should have a strong combination of technical understanding, communication skills and customer-facing experience, with the ability to conduct product demonstrations, design solutions and support the sales team throughout the deal lifecycle.
Total Experience: 3 - 6 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer business and technical requirements and translate them into suitable technology solutions.
- Partner with the sales team during the complete presales lifecycle, from discovery to closure.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations and solution walkthroughs for prospective customers.
- Prepare solution proposals, presentations, technical documentation and responses to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs.
- Work with engineering and product teams to validate technical feasibility and solution architecture.
- Lead or support POCs, pilots and technical evaluations.
- Understand customer environments, integrations, APIs, cloud infrastructure and security requirements.
- Develop solution architecture and technical recommendations based on customer use cases.
- Address technical questions and objections during customer discussions.
- Collaborate with sales, product, engineering and implementation teams to ensure smooth handover after deal closure.
- Maintain strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders at customer organizations.
- Track customer requirements, solution discussions and presales activities through CRM and internal processes.
Requirements:
- 3 - 6 years of experience in Technical Presales, Presales Engineering, Solution Engineering, Solution Consulting or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software products, SaaS platforms and enterprise technology.
- Experience in customer-facing technical discussions, presentations and product demonstrations.
- Good understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud technologies and software architecture.
- Experience working on RFP/RFI/RFQ responses and technical proposals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and requirement-gathering skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams.
- Willingness to participate in customer meetings and travel when required.
