Profile match
ICEYE is a Finnish space company founded in 2014 that built the first synthetic aperture radar satellite small enough to be launched in large numbers, and it now operates the world's largest constellation of them. Because radar imaging works through cloud and at night, the constellation can observe a location reliably regardless of weather, which makes it valuable for flood monitoring, insurance loss assessment, maritime surveillance and defence intelligence. Headquartered in Espoo, the company both sells data and builds satellites for government customers who want their own sovereign radar capability.

Role highlights:

  • Program Manager - Greece

  • Location: Athens, Greece

  • Department: Missions Programs

  • Reports to: Program Director

  • Employment type: Permanent

  • Workplace model: Hybrid

  • Employment is subject to applicable security screening (incl. SUPO, where required) - must be able to attain Greek Security Clearance

Why this role matters:

As a Mission Program Manager, you’ll deliver a complex Satellite Mission program end-to-end, ensuring customer success, on-time execution, and scalable delivery excellence.

You will ensure the full lifecycle of customer missions-from contract execution through delivery-acting as the central orchestrator across engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams. Your role is to ensure programs deliver against commitments while building strong, trusted customer relationships.

This role directly contributes to ICEYE’s ambition to become the leading provider of space-based ISR infrastructure by scaling reliable, high-impact mission delivery globally.

Who We Are

ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.

ICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.

ICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

Expected outcomes

  • Deliver assigned Satellite Mission programs on time, within budget, and to agreed performance standards

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term customer relationships, acting as the primary interface throughout program execution and supporting Customer Success Management activities

  • Establish and drive clear program plans (scope, milestones, resources, financials) aligned with internal and customer objectives

  • Identify, manage, and resolve risks, dependencies, and escalations to ensure uninterrupted program delivery

  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams

  • Support the implementation of scalable program management practices that improve delivery reliability and efficiency across Missions

  • Establish effective reporting structure and communication channels and mechanisms to ensure timely and accurate information flow among program team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership

What we’re looking for

Must have competences:

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs involving advanced technology systems (e.g., space, defence, telecom, automotive, IT, or similar)

  • Strong customer-facing experience, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and navigate complex requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams

  • Expertise in program planning, execution, and governance (scope, schedule, budget, risk management)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under uncertainty

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Fluent Greek (native level) and ability to obtain security clearance

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working on satellite or similarly complex system programs

  • Experience with governmental or defense customers

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, or embedded systems development

  • Experience in product development environments

  • Experience in ESA programs

  • Master’s degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification

Application Process

  • Recruiter Interview

  • Peer interview

  • Case Study and Panel interview

  • Interview with VP Missions
