We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and detail-oriented intern who will:
- Gain a broad overview of various finance and accounting functions by observing and assisting others complete day-to-day assignments and projects, as assigned.
- Assist the team in ensuring standing quarterly deliverables (in support of the various key and operational SOX controls) are completed in time of the scheduled SEC filing date.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency through automation or best practices.
- Complete other projects and initiatives, as assigned.
Our summer internship is full-time for 10-weeks beginning in early June and ending in early August. Work may be performed in a hybrid capacity from Reston, VA. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.
Basic Qualifications:
- By start date at least 30 credit hours in accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
Professional Skills:
- Analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable adapting in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team settings, understanding responsibilities, and communicating progress.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
