About the Role & Team IDC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Transformation Intern to join our Finance team in Boston. This 6-month, full-time opportunity provides hands-on experience at the intersection of change management, communications, and strategic transformation within a global technology insights company.What You’ll Do

Support the design, planning, and rollout of change management frameworks and communication plans for Finance’s ongoing transformation initiatives, including post-ERP unification and the AI Native journey.

• Develop and help distribute regular Finance organizational communications, including newsletters, updates, and leadership talking points, that keep employees informed and engaged through continuous transformation.
• Help build content and materials, including guides, FAQs, training decks, and playbooks, that support capability building and adoption of new tools, processes, and AI-enabled ways of working.
• Support stakeholder engagement and change readiness activities, including gathering feedback and helping identify risks or resistance points across Finance teams.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of town halls, leadership briefings, and other forums that reinforce transformation messaging.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Communications, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging across transformation workstreams.
• Track and help report on transformation milestones, communication effectiveness, and change adoption progress.
• Develop presentations, one-pagers, and workflow documentation to support executive decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in change management and communication processes.What You Bring

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Business Administration, Organizational Change Management, Finance, or a related field (Northeastern University students strongly encouraged to apply).

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) and communication or project management tools (e.g., Canva, SharePoint, Smartsheet) is a plus.
• Genuine interest in AI and digital transformation, and in how organizations adapt to new technology and new ways of working.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Learning Outcomes

• Gain exposure to the structure and strategy of a corporate Finance organization and the role of the CFO’s Office.Work EnvironmentLocation: Boston, MA - Remote position, with the option to work from the Boston office if preferred.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). Consideration for part-time also feasible for right candidate.

Compensation Transparency

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. Employees are compensated equitably for their work, aligned with their skills and experience. Salary and incentive structures are determined through a rigorous process that considers experience, education, certifications, role-specific requirements, internal equity, and verified U.S. market data from an independent third-party partner.The expected total annual compensation is between $25-$35.

If this role relocates to a different country, the salary range will be updated to reflect that country's range, rather than a currency conversion of the original range.
