Business Analyst (Treasury Analytics)

We are looking for a Business Analyst/Treasury Analyst, to drive data-led decision-making across treasury, asset-liability management (ALM), liquidity, interest rate risk, and balance sheet management.

The role requires a strong combination of treasury domain knowledge, analytical expertise, and stakeholder management, with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, and BI tools. You will work closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to develop analytical models, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights for treasury strategy and performance.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Treasury Analytics and Financial Modelling:

• Analyze liquidity, funding, investment portfolios, interest rate risk, and treasury profitability.
• Develop analytical models for liquidity forecasting, deposit behavior, and runoff analysis.
• Work on Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Cost of Funds (CoF), and Interest Rate Risk in Banking Book (IRRBB) analytics.
• Support balance sheet optimization, yield analysis, funding strategies, and portfolio performance measurement.
• Analyze deal-level, product-level, and portfolio-level data to identify risks and opportunities.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

• Use SQL, Python, PySpark, and Tableau to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize financial data.
• Build dashboards covering liquidity ratios, funding mix, asset-liability gaps, NIM, spreads, duration, and treasury performance.
• Automate Treasury MIS, regulatory reporting, and management dashboards.
• Perform quantitative analysis and deliver actionable business insights.

Business Analysis and Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with Treasury Front Office, Mid Office, ALM, Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to understand business requirements.
• Translate complex treasury requirements into scalable analytical solutions.
• Independently manage analytics workstreams from requirement gathering through implementation.
• Present analytical findings, business recommendations, and performance insights to stakeholders.
• Maintain data lineage, documentation, controls, and governance standards in line with audit and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge ofBanking Treasury, ALM, liquidity management, fixed income, or financial markets.
• Hands-on experience in SQL and data analytics, with exposure to Python, PySpark, and Tableau.
• Experience working with treasury-related datasets, financial modelling, dashboards, or reporting frameworks.
• Understanding of liquidity forecasting, FTP, CoF, IRRBB, or balance sheet analytics.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent business requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience in banking, treasury, risk, or financial analytics functions.
• You're a data-driven business analyst with strong banking or treasury domain expertise.
• You understand ALM, liquidity, FTP, IRRBB, or treasury portfolio analytics beyond basic reporting.
• You're comfortable working hands-on with SQL, Python, and analytical dashboards.
• You can translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• You can independently own analytics initiatives and work with senior Treasury, Finance, and Risk stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA (Finance), M. Tech, M. E., FRM, CFA, CA, or equivalent quantitative qualification.
• Experience building treasury forecasting, valuation, or optimization models.
• Knowledge of treasury risk measurement and regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Experience automating MIS and financial reporting workflows.
• Exposure to treasury portfolio analytics, funding strategies, and NIM optimization.
