Trainee System Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Trainee System Engineer to join our IT Support team. This role is ideal for someone beginning their IT career and looking to develop practical experience in system administration, troubleshooting, infrastructure support, and service operations. You will work with experienced engineers to maintain reliable IT services and provide effective technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and system-related issues.

• Assist in monitoring IT systems and infrastructure health.

• Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, servers, and applications.

• Perform basic troubleshooting for Windows operating systems, network connectivity, and user access issues.

• Assist senior engineers with system administration activities.

• Monitor service requests and ensure timely resolution as per defined processes.

• Support user account management, access requests, and system updates.

• Maintain technical documentation and update support records.

• Follow IT security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and continuously improve technical skills.

• Support planned maintenance activities and system upgrades.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth IT operations.

Requirements

• Experience Needed - 0-1 year / Freshers

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and system administration concepts. • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and networking fundamentals.

• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established processes.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts, servers, and databases would be an advantage.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, or similar would be beneficial.
