Staff Engineer Applications

As an Infineon Application Engineer, you will assist

customers to use Infineon Wi-Fi connectivity chips in their applications. You

will work as a trusted hands-on technical advisor for customers to use Infineon

Wi-Fi chips in commercial and automotive applications, ensuring that the Wi-Fi

chips meet regulatory compliance, and the Wi-Fi chip hardware and board works

seamlessly.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Provide technical support to customers, FAEs, module partners and distributors through digital channels to customers to use Infineon Wi-Fi connectivity chips during evaluation and development phase of their application. You will also assist in selection, evaluation and integration of Infineon Wi-Fi products.
• Recreate, debug and solve the technical issues reported by customers at any time during the life cycle of Wi-Fi connectivity chips.
• Work cross functionally with product line applications, hardware design, chip design, software and content development teams to solve issues reported by customers.
• Develop collaterals (code examples, application notes, knowledge articles) for customers.

• Prepare and deliver

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

·Bachelors/Masters

in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering or related

degree

• 5+ years’ experience working on Wi-Fi products as an application engineer.
• Ability to conduct investigative research to identify and resolve customers technical issues.
• Experience in writing and debugging software in C/C++ or any other high-level languages and also knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience of working on Hostapd, Wpa_supplicant, Driver, Firmware, WFA certification.
• Exposure to IEEE80211 protocols a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Linux, Android, Python, scripting.
• Experience in using tools like GDB, ftrace, iperf, wireshark, Objdump, JIRA, Git etc.
• Interest and ability to learn new technologies very quickly.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A customer-oriented mindset and focus on innovative, scalable methods to make customers self-sufficient.
• Knowledge about Infineon Wi-Fi connectivity chips is desirable.
• Exposure to hardware development, schematic and layout evaluation will be an added advantage.
