Responsibilities

  • Administer and support DB2 databases on Mainframe (z/OS).
  • Monitor database performance and perform tuning activities.
  • Manage database objects, backups, recovery, and maintenance tasks.
  • Support application teams with SQL optimization and database changes.
  • Execute DB2 utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, and RECOVER.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and resolve production incidents.
  • Ensure database security, availability, and data integrity.
  • Support application deployments, migrations, and release activities.
  • Perform capacity planning and storage management.
  • Prepare documentation, SOPs, and provide L2/L3 production support.
