We are looking for an experienced Informatica PowerCenter (PC) Application Support Engineer to provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ETL workflows and data integration processes. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, Unix/Linux, and incident management within a production support environment.
Responsibilities
Provide L2/L3 production support for Informatica PowerCenter applications and ETL workflows.
Monitor batch jobs, workflows, sessions, and data pipelines to ensure successful execution.
Analyze and resolve production incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed SLAs.
Troubleshoot ETL failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Work closely with development, database, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve issues.
Support deployment activities and application releases.
Monitor data loads and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
Create and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
Participate in on-call support and weekend release activities when required.
Technical requirements
Strong experience in Informatica PowerCenter administration and support.
Good knowledge of ETL concepts, mappings, workflows, sessions, and repositories.
Strong SQL skills with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
Understanding of production support processes and SLA management.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
