About the Role

As a Chapter Lead Engineer, you will lead and develop a team of 5 to 10 engineers while remaining actively involved in software delivery and technical decision-making.

You will partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions, strengthen engineering capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.

• Support hiring and build a strong engineering talent pipeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical technology solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Champion engineering excellence, DevOps practices, and automation.
• Promote Agile ways of working and continuous improvement.
• Balance people leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical involvement.

What We're Looking For

Leadership & Delivery

• At least 5 years of people leadership experience within software engineering teams.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale technology delivery.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and decision-making capabilities.

Technical Expertise

Required

• Strong backend development experience using Java (Java 11+).
• Experience building applications with Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation.
• Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, and secure software development principles.
• Bachelor's degree in any field.

Preferred

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience with SQL databases, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Maven, and related engineering tools.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering and operational excellence practices.
