Procurement Associate - Distribution Center

Shift Hours: 7am-3:30pm OR 8am-4:30pm M-F

Hourly Rate: $21.75 plus bonus

Position Summary

Responsible for purchasing products and services to meet company requirements and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Role Responsibilities

• Order Management: Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders and track order fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery.
• Sourcing & Bidding: Conduct market research, gather supplier quotes, and assist with RFP events for small-to-medium spend categories that adhere to quality and delivery standards.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain supplier records, assist with vendor onboarding, monitor performance metrics, and help resolve shipping or quality discrepancies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Warehousing, to align purchasing needs with budget limits and project timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of general experience or 2 years of functional experience.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Established and productive individual contributor who works under moderate supervision.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature while recognizing the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
• Normally follows established procedures on routine work and requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Ability to communicate information that requires explanation or interpretation.
• Provides administrative or technical support at an intermediate level.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2-year degree preferred.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, order management, or vendor relations.
• Familiarity with supplier quotes, sourcing, bidding processes, and purchase orders.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly Operations, Finance, and Warehousing.
• Ability to identify routine problems and make minor adjustments to working methods when needed.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $38,800.00 - $62,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
