The Role and ImpactAs a Commodity Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and executing commodity strategies while driving supplier innovation and collaboration. You will leverage your expertise to optimize Intel's supply chain solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, availability, and sustainability for Intel's development needs. Day to day, you will interact with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage sourcing strategies, negotiate agreements, and ensure commodities meet technical and business requirements essential for Intel's success.

You will be part of Intel's supply chain organization, a dynamic group that drives innovation to ensure Intel delivers world-class products. The team focuses on creating strategic sourcing solutions, managing supplier relationships, and aligning commodity strategies with Intel's long-term business objectives. By contributing to this team, you will support Intel's mission of enabling technology advancements through effective supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies tailored to Intel's unique development needs.
- Drive supplier development and foster innovation through collaborative partnerships.
- Manage sourcing activities, aligning technical specifications and cost requirements with Intel's goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define product requirements and negotiate technical contract terms.
- Conduct periodic reviews of commodity sourcing strategies and pivot based on market conditions to ensure business continuity.
- Lead supplier relationship management, including performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, sustainability standards, and Intel's procurement policies.
- Work closely with finance and legal teams to resolve supplier disputes and protect Intel's interests.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in supplier management, sourcing strategy, or commodity management with a Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in supplier management practices, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience with supplier sourcing in APJ or related regions.
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across diverse teams.
This is a 12-month Contract Role.
