We are looking for two Senior SharePoint Developers to take over and further develop enterprise applications built on SharePoint on-premises for a European public institution in Warsaw. This role suits a mature, experienced engineer who is comfortable working with an existing codebase and working directly with business stakeholders.
About the Project:
The client runs a set of line-of-business applications built on SharePoint Server (2019 / Subscription Edition), with custom SPFx components and .NET Web APIs behind them. The applications were built by a third-party vendor, and the new team will take over the codebase from them. There is a knowledge transfer period in November 2026, overlapping the current contractor's last sprints. You will join a Scrum team that works in Azure DevOps, alongside business owners, analysts and testers. The assignment is long term.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain SharePoint on-premises solutions using SPFx, React, TypeScript and PnPjs;
Build and maintain custom Web APIs in .NET/C# hosted on IIS, with SQL Server;
Take over an existing third-party codebase through code review, refactoring, technical debt management and regression testing;
Integrate applications with identity and external systems (EU Login, SAML, Entra ID, REST APIs, notifications, document management);
Optimize the performance, security and quality of list-based SharePoint solutions;
Translate requirements into technical design, using UML where needed;
Estimate effort, take part in backlog refinement and acceptance with business owners, analysts and testers;
Guide technical work within the team, including code reviews and development standards;
Produce technical documentation and manage configuration and releases;
Act as 2nd and 3rd line support.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or 3 years of higher education);
Minimum 6 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a Software Developer;
Proven experience developing enterprise applications on SharePoint on-premises (2019 / Subscription Edition) with SPFx, React/TypeScript and PnPjs;
Strong experience with .NET/C# Web APIs, IIS and SQL Server;
Experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos with pull request workflow, Pipelines);
Experience integrating applications with identity providers and external systems (SAML, Entra ID, REST APIs);
Knowledge of UML and experience designing data, business logic and UI layers;
At least one full solution lifecycle completed in a Scrum environment;
Ability to lead technical work within a team;
An advanced level certificate in software development (or an internationally recognised equivalent);
Experience with EU institutions or the public sector is a plus;
Availability to start in mid-November 2026;
Very good English (minimum B2);
EU citizenship and own business activity (B2B).
Recruitment Process:
Initial interview with our recruitment team;
Technical interview with the client;
Final decision and offer.
