Job Description

Job Purpose (Job Summary):

The Head of Global Investments Learning & Development is responsible for developing, administering, and continuously improving the global learning and development platform for investment professionals. Sitting within Investments Engagement, this role partners with investment leadership, investment subject matter experts, Human Resources, Finance, and external providers to identify training needs, build scalable development programs, and support investment talent development.

The role combines strategic program leadership with hands-on operational ownership for needs analysis, onboarding, mentoring, technical training, networking events, external provider management, professional qualification support, skills framework maintenance, CPD tracking, training communications, participant feedback, reporting, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership

· Develop and execute a global investment learning and professional development strategy aligned with Investments Leadership’s objectives and priorities.

· Partner with senior investment leaders, investment teams, HR partners, and internal subject matter experts to identify and prioritize training and capability-building needs.

· In partnership with Investments Leadership, agree on a global investor skills framework that supports development planning, career progression, and supports leadership expectations across investment roles.

· Promote investment excellence, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and internal connectivity across asset classes, regions, and investment centers.

· Communicate training opportunities and relevant firmwide development events to investment professionals.

Training Needs Analysis & Curriculum Management

· Conduct training needs analysis for global investment professionals and translate findings into actionable development plans.

· Engage with senior leaders in Investments to determine training needs and prioritize deployment of resources.

· Design, coordinate, and continuously improve learning pathways for new joiners, early-career investors, analysts, portfolio managers, and senior investors.

· Organize induction and onboarding programs for investment professionals.

· Coordinate training delivered by internal investment subject matter experts.

· Source, evaluate, buy, and manage training with external providers, including vendor selection, contracting support, logistics, and relationship management.

· Support qualification and study support processes, including guidance on CFA and other professional development pathways and liaison with providers where applicable.

Mentoring, Networking & Events

· Organize and administer mentoring programs that support professional development, knowledge transfer, and network building.

· Plan networking events and forums that strengthen collaboration and connectivity among investment professionals.

· Manage associated in-person and virtual event logistics, including rooms, catering, meeting setup, meet-and-greet support, attendance records, and participant communications.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure programs are relevant, well-attended, and effectively executed.

Systems, Reporting & Measurement

· Administer training systems and records, including participant registration, attendance, training history, and course completion data.

· Manage and administer CPD-related systems and processes, including supplier management and inputting individuals' event participation where applicable.

· Report on CPD hours, training completion, attendance, participation, and program effectiveness; follow up on incomplete requirements as needed.

· Gather feedback on training programs and produce reporting that identifies participation trends, learner experience, and areas for improvement.

· Maintain documentation and reporting to support governance, auditability, and continuous improvement of the training platform.

Budget, Governance & Continuous Improvement

· Manage the Investments Learning & Development budget, including planning, tracking, vendor costs, and reporting.

· Ensure training activity is delivered within budget and aligned with relevant policies, procedures, and conduct expectations.

· Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously improve curriculum, logistics, communications, and learner experience.

· Monitor industry trends, investment education topics, and learning delivery methods to keep the training platform current and relevant.

· Other duties particular to the Investments Engagement team and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

· 8+ years of experience in professional development, learning and development, investment management, investment operations, talent development, or a related field.

· Experience designing, coordinating, or managing training programs for investment professionals preferred.

· Demonstrated experience conducting training needs analysis and translating business requirements into learning solutions.

· Experience working with senior stakeholders, internal subject matter experts, and external education or training providers.

· Experience managing budgets, vendors, contracts, training logistics, participant communications, and reporting.

· Experience with CPD, professional qualification support, learning systems, or training record administration preferred.

· Knowledge of investment management, investment roles, and professional development needs for investment teams preferred.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

· Strong program management, organizational, and execution skills.

· Ability to operate strategically while managing detailed program administration and logistics.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to build effective relationships with investment professionals, senior leaders, HR partners, vendors, and internal subject matter experts.

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather feedback, interpret participation data, and report on outcomes.

· Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and work effectively across global time zones.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality learner experience.

· Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new learning technologies, investment research tools, and AI-enabled solutions.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint; experience with learning management systems, CPD systems, or related platforms preferred.

Formal Education:

· Bachelor's degree required.

· Experience in asset management industry preferred.

· Advanced degree, CFA Charterholder, coaching qualification, or learning and development certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

· Frequent collaboration with colleagues across global regions and time zones.

· Periodic travel will likely be required for in-person training events and investment team and leader engagement.

· Extended computer, virtual meeting, and document preparation work.

· Must be flexible to support occasional meetings or events outside standard business hours.
