The Role: 

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with 5+/8+ years of experience to design and build the interface for our Quantum Security platform. This role blends product design thinking with hands-on frontend engineering - you'll turn complex network and security data into interfaces that are intuitive, fast, and trustworthy for security and network teams. As a senior member of the team, you'll also help shape frontend architecture, mentor junior engineers, and drive design/engineering best practices. You'll work closely with product managers, backend engineers, and QA/solutions teams to ship features that make sense to real users under real operational pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement responsive, accessible UI components for the platform using modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
• Translate complex network security concepts - topology maps, risk/posture scores, policy rules, alerts, remediation steps - into clear, usable visual interfaces.
• Own end-to-end UX for key workflows: onboarding, network/device discovery, dashboards, drill-down investigations, and reporting.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups (Figma or similar) and iterate based on user feedback and usability testing.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define and consume APIs, ensuring data-heavy views (topology graphs, tables, charts) remain performant at scale.
• Partner with QA and Solutions Testing teams to validate that workflows behave correctly and intuitively across real customer network scenarios.
• Conduct or support usability testing and gather feedback from customers, sales engineers, and support teams to continuously refine the UX.
• Maintain and evolve a component/design system for consistency across the platform.
• Ensure UI meets accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility standards.
• Monitor frontend performance (load times, rendering of large topology/data sets) and optimize as needed.
• Help define and evolve frontend architecture, tooling, and coding standards across the team.
• Mentor mid-level and junior frontend/UI engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design critiques.
• Drive technical decisions on state management, component architecture, and performance for a growing, data-intensive platform.

Requirements:

• 5+/8+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, UI/UX engineer, or product designer with strong coding ability, ideally on data-dense or technical SaaS products.
• Demonstrated experience owning frontend architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and a component-based framework (React preferred; Vue/Angular acceptable).
• Strong UX design skills - information architecture, interaction design, visual hierarchy - with a portfolio demonstrating design-to-code work.
• Experience designing interfaces for complex, data-heavy domains (dashboards, network/graph visualizations, security tools, DevOps tools, or similar).
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and working closely with backend teams to shape data contracts for UI needs.
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Ability to conduct or contribute to usability testing and translate findings into design/engineering improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in network security, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure SaaS products.
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Cytoscape.js, or similar) for rendering network topology and graph-based data.
• Basic understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts (VLANs, routing, ACLs) to better design for technical users.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries at scale.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress).

• Complex network and security data is presented in ways that are immediately understandable to security/network admins.
• Key workflows (discovery, posture review, remediation) feel fast, guided, and low-friction even for less technical users.
• Design and engineering teams ship UI changes with confidence, backed by usability validation and a consistent design system.
• Frontend architecture scales cleanly as the platform and team grow, with junior engineers leveling up under your guidance.

The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.

Wage Transparency:

$124,000—$186,000 USD

Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
