From the initial idea through to the final launch, you will take responsibility for the entire product development process and work closely with manufacturers and suppliers, as well as our Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, and Sales teams. • Development of innovative dietary supplements, powders, capsules, tablets, shots, liquids, and functional beverages-from the initial idea through to market launch
• Independent management of development projects, including concept development, formulation, raw material selection, sampling, costing, validation, and commercialization
• Translation of product briefs and consumer needs into technically feasible, regulatory-compliant, and commercially attractive products
• Development and optimization of formulations with regard to active ingredients, dosage, taste, sweetening, solubility, stability, functionality, and cost
• Planning and evaluation of laboratory samples, tastings, stability tests, pilot productions, and production trials
• Optimization of existing products in terms of formulation, raw materials, sensory properties, functionality, packaging, shelf life, and cost

• Identification of relevant consumer, ingredient, health, performance, and nutrition trends
• Monitoring of new raw materials, active ingredients, technologies, dosage forms, and product concepts
• Conducting market, category, and competitor analyses to identify new product opportunities
• Translating trends and insights into concrete innovation and product concepts
• Continuous evaluation and development of the supplements and liquids portfolio with regard to differentiation, optimization, and growth

• Acting as the central interface between suppliers and internal teams across Quality, Purchasing, Marketing, and Sales
• Coordinating timelines, samples, documentation, costs, and decision-making processes across multiple development projects
• Managing price requests, product cost calculations, and value-engineering initiatives in close collaboration with Purchasing
• Ensuring technically feasible and commercially scalable formulations together with production partners
• Evaluating suitable packaging formats and product-packaging compatibility, particularly for liquid products
• Participating in supplier meetings, production trials, and relevant industry trade fairs

• Reviewing formulations, ingredients, dosages, claims, declarations, and packaging copy
• Ensuring compliance with the EU Food Information to Consumers Regulation (LMIV/FIC Regulation) and other relevant regulatory requirements for dietary supplements and beverages
• Maintaining product specifications, formulation documentation, and relevant development records
• Working closely with Quality and Regulatory Affairs on product approvals, stability assessments, and quality requirements
• Supporting reformulations, raw material changes, root-cause analyses, and continuous product improvement

Your skillset - as strong as our protein

• Completed degree or comparable qualification in food technology, food science, nutritional science, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field
• Relevant professional experience in product development or R&D, ideally within dietary supplements, sports nutrition, functional foods, or beverages
• Strong understanding of supplement and liquid formulations, raw materials, active ingredients, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with product categories such as powders, capsules, tablets, shots, liquids, or functional beverages
• Experience in formulation development, sampling, sensory evaluation, stability testing, and production trials
• Good knowledge of relevant food law and regulatory requirements
• Confident handling of product costing, target costs, and commercial evaluations
• Fluent English; German language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel for supplier meetings, production trials, and industry events
