Join the global ISS STOXX Tax team and play a key role in shaping direct tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax accounting activities for our German entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified German Tax Advisor seeking an international in-house position with broad exposure to corporate taxation, IFRS reporting, Pillar Two, tax risk management, and strategic tax projects.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Legal, and external advisors, you will contribute to both operational excellence and the ongoing modernization of the tax function.
Key Responsibilities
Manage corporate income tax and trade tax compliance for German group entities.
Coordinate the preparation and review of tax returns, filings, and related tax reporting obligations.
Review tax assessments, support tax audits, and manage interactions with tax authorities and external advisors.
Oversee tax accounting under IFRS and HGB, including current and deferred tax calculations.
Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and tax disclosures.
Participate in Pillar Two calculations, reporting requirements, and implementation activities.
Monitor tax legislation and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the business.
Identify and manage tax risks, including documentation of uncertain tax positions.
Support M&A, restructuring, and other strategic tax projects across the group.
Drive process improvements, AI-automation initiatives, and digital tax transformation projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
German Tax Advisor qualification (Steuerberater).
5+ years of experience in corporate tax, tax advisory, or in-house tax functions.
Strong knowledge of German corporate income tax and trade tax regulations.
Experience managing direct tax compliance and tax reporting obligations.
Solid understanding of IFRS and HGB tax accounting principles.
Experience with financial statement tax reporting and tax provisioning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to communicate complex tax topics to non-tax stakeholders.
Proven independent work while collaborating effectively across international teams.
Strong stakeholder management skills within global and cross-functional environments.
Fluent German and English language skills (C1 and above).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IAS 12, IAS 34, deferred tax accounting, and IFRIC 23.
Exposure to OECD Pillar Two requirements and reporting processes.
Background in Big 4, international tax advisory firms, or multinational organizations.
Experience supporting tax audits, tax risk management, and governance initiatives.
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems.
Exposure to international tax matters and cross-border transactions.
Experience supporting M&A, legal entity restructuring, or integration projects.
Interest in tax technology, automation, and AI-enabled tax processes.
