Experienced Full-Stack Developer (Node.js, TypeScript, AWS)

An International FinTech company is recruiting for and experienced full-stack engineer who builds and maintains high-volume financial/invoicing systems using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, APIs, databases while maintaining modern DevOps practices.

Duties:

• Design and build integrations with multiple third-party systems and APIs.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop data validation and transformation pipelines for multi-format invoice processing.
• Build resilient, scalable microservices handling high-volume transactions.
• Develop and maintain secure, performant back-end and front-end components.
• Help build and integrate DevOps processes, automation, and engineering standards

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng Computer Science, Software Engineering, BIS Multimedia or equivalent (UCT, Stellenbosch, Wits, Tuks preferred). - High performers will be given preferance
• Matric with HG Mathematics (Distinction preferred)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (advantageous).

Experience:

5 Years solid experience with:

• Behavioural Driven Development (BDD), TDD, unit testing using Jest, Jasmine, Mocha etc.
• Node.js and TypeScript development.
• NPM/Yarn package management.
• Build automation (webpack, esbuild, Turbopack).
• RESTful API development and integration.

3+ Years exprience:

• Complex API integrations, data mapping, and transformation pipelines.
• SQL and NoSQL databases, modelling for transactional/financial data.
• Cloud computing using AWS (Lambda, IaC, DevOps pipelines, architecture design).
