THE OPPORTUNITY

CONTEXT:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Desktop Support Administrator at Ivalua based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office. In addition to delivering high-touch local IT support, you will serve as the primary U.S. relay for our global Microsoft Intune endpoint management environment, collaborating closely with our EMEA and APAC IT Support team.

ROLE:

You will be part of the global IT Infrastructure & Support Team that manages IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and workplace technology at Ivalua. Our team works hard, plays hard, and fosters a collaborative environment where you can focus, innovate, and perform at your best.  This position reports to the Manager, IT in AMER.

WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US  

Intune & Endpoint Management (US Relay):

• Serve as the local U.S. SME for Microsoft Intune deployment, administration, and policy management on Windows 11 systems.
• Manage application packaging, deployment, and update updates across the desktop environment.
• Configure and troubleshoot PCs, drivers, system updates, and printer integrations.
• Partner with global desktop engineers and administrators in EMEA and APAC to maintain global workstation standards.

Local Office & User Support (Pittsburgh Office):

• Manage employee IT onboarding and offboarding, hardware provisioning, and initial IT training.
• Handle end-to-end IT support requests (troubleshooting laptops, software, hardware accessories, and user account issues).
• Oversee IT equipment installation, maintenance, lifecycle management, patching, and stock/inventory tracking.
• Provide hands-on setup, maintenance, and user support for office meeting room audio/visual systems.

Network & Security Collaboration:

• Administer user access rights and identity management in alignment with the principle of least privilege. Manage physical office access control systems (keycards/badges) and digital access permissions for internal tools, applications, and network resources. 
• Act as the Pittsburgh local point of contact for LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure support, assisting the central Infrastructure team with troubleshooting and hardware management.
• Serve as the local IT Security contact: uphold security policies, maintain computer security hygiene, and collaborate with the Infosec team on threat analysis and remediation.

YOUR PROFILE

If you have the below experience and strengths this role could be for you:

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred with a minimum of 5 years  of relevant professional experience, OR  Master’s degree in relevant field with a minimum of 3 years  relevant professional experience, OR  Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Microsoft Intune: Proven experience managing Microsoft Intune in a Windows 11 environment, including application packaging, configuration profiles, and deployment.
• Google Workspace & Cloud Administration: Hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration (Google Admin Console, user provisioning, group management, security settings, Gmail/Drive/Meet support).
• Core Technical Knowledge:
  • Application packaging, driver deployment, and printer management.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD / Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, and network fundamentals (LAN/Wi-Fi, command line/scripting tools).
  • Good computer and network security awareness.
• Global Collaboration & Autonomy: Ability to work independently in a local office setting while communicating and collaborating effectively across global departments and time zones.
• Customer Service Mindset: A strong customer-first approach, excellent problem-solving ability, and flexibility to adapt to evolving technical needs.

Soft Skills:

• Self-Motivated & Autonomous: Strong initiative to drive local projects and maintain office IT health with minimal day-to-day oversight.
• Customer Service & Empathy: Excellent interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach to solving user problems under pressure.
• Global Collaboration & Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work seamlessly across diverse teams, global offices, and differing time zones.
• Prioritization & Pressure Management: Skill in balancing urgent local end-user support ticket resolution with longer-term global infrastructure projects.
• Effective Technical Communicator: Clear oral and written communication skills; able to translate technical concepts into simple terms for non-technical users and document procedures accurately.

Desirable Skills & Certifications:

• Professional certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator Certification, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+, A+, or Network+.
• Familiarity with PowerShell, GAM (Google Admin Management), or CLI scripting.
• Prior experience managing office physical access control platforms or collaborating with global security and IT teams.

The salary range for this position is based upon careful and continual market compensation research. In addition to location, salary may also vary based upon job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Title: IT Desktop Support Administrator

Base range minimum: $48,750

Base range maximum: $81,250

*Additional compensation / rewards: In addition to the base salary information above, Ivalua offers an uncapped commission plan as part of the competitive compensation package.
