Assistant Manager – Content Analytics, Kannada

The Consumer Strategy, Innovation & Insights (CSI) team is JioStar’s central strategy and insights practice, using consumer behavior and data to shape business decisions. The team works across content, marketing and monetization, partnering with business leaders to uncover insights and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consumer Strategy: Work with vast quantities of unstructured data, apply analytical lens and unearth relevant insights and recommendations to solve business problems for organization. Strategy work encompasses every aspect of business, e.g. designing business strategy, identifying White Spaces, helping increase viewership, programming strategy etc.

• Data Analytics: Develop in-depth understanding of business, consumer and content using various tools, platforms, viewership & consumption data

• Content Strategy: Analyze, identify, and apply evolving trends across categories, competition, and consumers providing data backed creative insights & strategic intelligence to shape digital & TV content

• Brand Protection: Identification and analysis of threat to business, leadership, and network channels to ensure timely escalation and intervention

• Thought leadership: Develop capability and projects that allow for the practice to remain future ready

• Develop queries and dashboards across tools to collate and distil insights, monitor crisis, and stay connected with the consumers

• Partner with key stakeholders, co-create opportunities for growth, address business challenges and service BUs with high integrity and discipline

Skills & Attributes for success:

• 2-4 years of work experience

• Understanding of the digital and social media landscape and key platforms is desirable

• Training for using various analytical tools will be provided. Post that the candidate will be expected to work hands on with the tools culling insights.

• High personal impact and exceptional written and oral communication skills. Articulating the stories that lie within the data is a key facet of this role.

• Digital & TV Content Affinity (esp. Kannada) & a deep understanding of Indian entertainment landscape is a plus.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• MBA or equivalent from top tier institutes

• Passion for watching and consuming content

• Native fluency in speaking and reading Kannada is mandatory.

• Should have an understanding of Karnataka culture

• Ability to handle basic analytics in excel
