Minimum requirements:

  • BCOM Accounting degree (or equivalent).
  • Completed articles with 2+ years post-article experience
  • Proficient in Sage Pastel Accounting
  • Experience in payroll management (Pastel Payroll Software)
  • Experience in SARS eFiling - filing returns and managing verifications and like
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to take ownership of your work
  • Experience in working in a group structure - management of multiple companies and intercompany transactions
  • Registered Tax Practioner that could manage all efiling profiles of the group - would be a plus
  • Manage full accounting function and management of the accounting team
  • Prepare and process monthly journals, reconciliations, and financial reports
  • Handle payroll processing and related statutory submissions
  • Manage SARS tax filings - VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, and EMP201& EMP501 submissions
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support management with cash flow forecasts and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required
