Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Accountant to support key finance functions across financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end processes, and delivering meaningful financial information to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
• Support financial reporting, analysis, and management reporting
• Manage bank reconciliations and assist with cash and payment processes
• Assist with VAT, compliance, and statutory submissions
• Support external audits and regulatory requirements
• Provide financial insights and support to management
• Drive process improvements, controls, and system enhancements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Qualification:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years' accounting experience
• Experience with General Ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end reporting
• Experience within manufacturing, retail, or a similar commercial environment advantageous

Skills:

• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to identify and implement process improvements
