Minimum Requirements
  • BCom
  • CIMA - essential
  • 3+ years’ experience in a cost accounting environment.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is advantageous.
  • Strong costing and financial analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyse product and manufacturing costs, including standard and actual costing.
  • Analyse cost variances, investigate key cost drivers and provide insights to management.
  • Monitor production costs, overheads and inventory, ensuring accurate costing data and financial records.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and cost-control initiatives to improve profitability.
  • Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support month-end reporting and financial close processes.
  • Partner with production and operational teams on costing-related matters and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cost management.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong cost accounting, manufacturing and costing knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills, with strong Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of cost drivers and profitability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, production and operational teams.
