Financial Controller

• BCom in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles.
• 2+ years’ relevant post-articles experience.
• Experience in a full-function accounting environment.
• Previous management or team leadership experience.
• Exposure to mining, manufacturing or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
• Strong Excel and accounting system experience.

• Manage the full accounting function, including transaction processing, general ledger, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and management reports, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow, analysing financial performance, variances and key business drivers.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accurate, compliant and timely reporting.
• Manage statutory, tax and audit requirements, including supporting external and internal audits.
• Provide financial insights and guidance to management and operational stakeholders to support business planning and decision-making.
• Lead and develop finance staff while driving improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.

• Strong full-function accounting, financial reporting and commercial acumen.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership and accountability.
• Highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
