Finance Manager

Job Description:

• Oversee the full finance function across multiple entities within the group
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and procedures
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
• Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance and exception reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial close processes
• Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate external audit engagements
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, and statutory requirements
• Manage VAT, PAYE, income tax, and other regulatory submissions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
• Review daily and monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity requirements
• Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management
• Assist with stakeholder reporting, including engagements with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and external advisors
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team
• Drive process optimisation, automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a financial management or finance leadership role
• Previous exposure to an SME, multi-entity, or group environment would be advantageous
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and regulatory compliance
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data
• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems such as Sage Intacct or similar platforms
• Exposure to financial statement drafting software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growth-focused environment
