Financial Accountant

Job Description:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules
• Compile and review monthly reconciliations, including VAT and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare annual financial statements and support year-end audit processes
• Assist with month-end reporting and management accounting requirements
• Process journals and ensure the integrity of financial information
• Maintain compliance with statutory and tax requirements
• Work closely with operational and finance teams to resolve accounting queries
• Support the Finance Manager with reporting, analysis, and ad hoc finance projects
• Ensure deadlines are met in a high-volume and deadline-driven environment

Skills & Experience:

• Practical experience preparing Annual Financial Statements
• Strong VAT knowledge and reconciliation experience
• CaseWare experience is essential
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Resilient personality with a proactive approach to work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently and taking accountability for deliverables

Qualification:

• BCom Accounting or related finance qualification
• Completed Articles is essential
• CaseWare experience essential
