Financial Controller

We’re looking for a Financial Controller to take charge of the day-to-day finance function, while providing management with accurate reporting, insights and support.

What you’ll be doing:

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function and financial controls
• Manage month-end, management accounts and financial reporting
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and variances
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and payments
• Oversee SARS, statutory compliance and audit processes
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
• Provide meaningful financial information to directors and senior management
• Lead, support and develop the finance and payroll team

• BCom in Accounting, Financial Management, Taxation or similar
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
• 2-3 years’ post-articles experience
• Experience in a Financial Controller, Financial Manager or senior accounting role
• Strong financial accounting, reporting and Excel skills
• Solid understanding of month-end, reconciliations and controls
• ERP/accounting system experience
• Exposure to SARS and statutory compliance
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• A hands-on, accountable and solutions-driven approach
