Head Office Management Accountant - Automotive

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, management accounts, fixed asset management, imports, foreign exchange, intercompany transactions, compliance and audit preparation, while providing accurate financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end reporting packs, management accounts and presentations
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
• Generate reports using Power BI and MS Excel
• Manage intercompany and related-party loans and transactions
• Account for USD transactions, foreign exchange movements and interest calculations
• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• Maintain audit files and prepare monthly audit reconciliations
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation and CAPEX approvals
• Manage Right of Use Assets and liabilities in accordance with IFRS 16
• Support import-related accounting and Production Rebate Certificate processing
• Review supplier pricing, standard costs and related General Ledger provisions
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax and regulatory requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the automotive industry or a multinational trading environment
• Relevant BCom degree or equivalent university qualification
• CIMA qualification would be advantageous
• Strong exposure to:
  • Fixed Assets
  • Right of Use Assets
  • Import and Standard Cost Accounting
  • Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Provisions
  • Banking and Foreign Exchange
  • VAT and Tax
  • Audit
• Strong experience preparing and presenting Management Accounts
• Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Excel and MS Office
• Experience working with MS Business Central / DealerBox advantageous
• Strong presentation skills
