Junior Accountant

Job Description:

• Process and capture supplier invoices, ensuring accurate allocation and matching to purchase orders
• Perform creditor reconciliations and manage supplier accounts to ensure timely payments
• Process petty cash transactions and maintain supporting documentation
• Assist with monthly and ad-hoc payment processes and supplier queries
• Process journals and assist with month-end accounting requirements
• Manage invoice and statement distribution to customers
• Provide support to the debtors function, including accruals and reporting requirements
• Maintain fixed asset records and process fixed asset transactions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis
• Prepare reports and provide support to the Financial Manager and broader finance team
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with Sage or similar accounting systems - advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills

• Diploma in Finance, Accounting OR Equivalent
• Degree in Accounting - advantageous
