Medical Receptionist
Welcome and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Manage incoming calls, enquiries and patient bookings.
Schedule and manage patient appointments.
Register patients and maintain accurate patient records.
Handle medical aid and private patient administration.
Process billing and account-related queries.
Liaise with doctors, patients and medical aid providers.
Maintain a well-organised and efficient reception area.
Assist with general administrative duties within the practice.
Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist within a medical practice.
Experience with GoodX and/or Elixir medical billing systems.
GoodX experience is highly preferred, as the practice is moving from Elixir to GoodX.
Experience with both systems would be advantageous.
Good computer literacy and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, friendly and patient-focused manner.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Stable employment history is important; candidates who frequently change jobs will not be considered.
Language Skills
Portuguese speaking would be a strong advantage
