Medical Sales Representative

• Drive sales of medical consumables and capital equipment within the allocated territory.
• Develop new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare decision-makers, including:
  • CSSD Unit Managers
  • Theatre Unit Managers
  • Infection Prevention Practitioners
  • Clinical Engineers
  • Hospital Buyers and other key stakeholders
• Conduct regular customer visits and sales calls.
• Identify customer needs, product opportunities and competitor activity.
• Conduct and participate in capital equipment demonstrations.
• Follow up on quotations and actively work towards achieving sales targets.
• Assist with new equipment installations and provide customer in-service training.
• Manage customer queries and complaints, ensuring issues are investigated and resolved effectively.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales opportunity information on the CRM system.
• Prepare regular sales, customer and market activity reports.
• Attend relevant congresses, forums, workshops and industry events.
• Provide first-line technical support, including the assessment, servicing and repair of medical equipment.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning and scheduled maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company quality management, health and safety and administrative requirements.
• Remain up to date with product knowledge, hospital decontamination processes and relevant technical requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years' medical industry sales experience.
• Proven track record in medical sales, preferably involving consumables and capital equipment.
• First-line technical experience.
• Good understanding of the hospital CSSD and Operating Theatre environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CRICE accreditation.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Willingness and ability to undertake overnight travel when required.
• Good technical proficiency, with the ability to work with electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Computer literacy, including MS Windows and MS Office.
• Experience using a CRM system.
