Key responsibilities
- Develop project plans, schedules, milestones, cost estimates and budgets
- Review and approve engineering drawings, plans and specifications
- Identify and resolve technical issues and implement quality control processes
- Monitor fabrication and assembly of equipment in the workshop
- Procure and manage equipment and materials; allocate resources
- Identify project risks and put mitigation and contingency plans in place
- Compile Quality Control Plans (QCPs), project Databooks and OEM equipment manuals
- Ensure all materials and buyouts have datasheets, certificates and documentation
- Oversee budget vs actual spend and manage budget and contract changes
- Report progress, delays and recovery plans to clients and stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years' engineering experience
- Inventor, Solid Edge and/or SolidWorks
- Strong MS Office and MS Project skills
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality and SHERQ requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or Project Management
- Pr Eng registration with ECSA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Clear communicator of technical information
- Leadership and team guidance
- Good time management under deadlines
