Senior Data Engineer
A secure payment solutions provider and aggregator that enables businesses to accept payments via various channels, including retail, digital, and mobile, catering to both banked and unbanked customers, is seeking a proactive Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures.
Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Engineering: Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools.
Systems Integration: Harmonize data from transactional systems, accounting platforms (Sage, Xero), and CRMs.
Warehouse Management: Develop and optimize data warehouse structures in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Quality & Governance: Ensure data reliability through rigorous monitoring and implement governance best practices.
Collaboration: Partner with architects and stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose data products.
Strategy & Innovation: Contribute to technical strategy, research new technologies, and build Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
Infrastructure Support: Manage version control, deployment processes, and disaster recovery planning.
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Experience: 8+ years in Data Engineering or a similar technical role.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in SQL and Python; proven track record in pipeline architecture.
Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Logistics: Must have own reliable transport.
