Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011-but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.

The team:

As an instrumental part of the larger Product Development team, our Product Designers work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to build great product experiences that help home service business thrive. You will work in AI-native product teams, pairing with others to fully own your ideas, decisions, and outcomes every step of the way. This group is central to the success of Jobber - focused on creating software that delivers value to hundreds of thousands of people around the world!

As a Senior Product Designer, you will:

  • Drive high-impact design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and innovative solutions across all touchpoints.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and advocate for ambitious long-term vision and pragmatic short-term goals.

  • Define and drive the UX strategy for your product area, breaking down complex challenges into scalable, thoughtful solutions that align with business and customer needs.

  • Partner with other designers, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement through feedback and knowledge sharing.

  • Champion customer-centric product thinking and advocate for exceptional UX throughout the product development lifecycle.

To be successful, you should

  • Have 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio showcasing polished, impactful user experiences for web and mobile SaaS products.

  • Demonstrate mastery of your tools (Figma, Figjam, Claude, pencil-and-paper, etc.) and the ability to choose the right tool for the task.

  • Applied experience of how LLM-driven tools like Claude Design, Figma Make, Codex, etc has thoughtfully transformed how you approach the work you do, and the pitfalls along the way.

  • Be curious and proactive in addressing customer pain points, finding innovative solutions, and learning from failures to improve.

  • Embrace ambiguity as an opportunity.

  • Possess excellent visual taste and interaction design skills that are reflected in your portfolio.

  • Consistently navigate constraints and challenges to develop thoughtful, ambitious, and differentiated work in regulated problem domains (e.g. finance, health, etc.)

  • Be a clear communicator who can explain the impact of your work, design rationale, and trade-offs.

  • Excel in collaboration and partnership - bringing others with you as you build.

Our Hiring Process:

During the interview process, we’ll explore your experience, skills, and working style to determine the best fit across our open Senior Product Designer roles. Team alignment will be an ongoing, transparent conversation that considers both what you bring and what you’re looking for in your next role.

You can expect the interview process to include the following steps:

  • Talent Team Interview (30 min): An introduction to Jobber, your background, and what you’re looking for.

  • Portfolio Review (60 min): A deep dive into selected projects to understand your design process, decision-making, and impact.

  • Functional Whiteboard Exercise (75 min): A collaborative problem-solving session to see how you approach ambiguity and work through complex UX challenges.

  • Leadership Interview (30 min): A conversation focused on team fit, leadership maturity, and your approach to cross-functional collaboration.

Depending on the team and role, we may add an additional conversation to explore specific areas or ensure clarity on team alignment.

Compensation:

At Jobber, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and supportive of your experience and growth. Our salary ranges are designed to reflect the progression from learning the role to truly excelling. This role has an annual salary of:

Canada: minimum annual salary of $125,800 CAD, a midpoint of $147,900 CAD, and a maximum salary of $170,100 CAD.

We design our compensation to reflect each new hire’s skills, experience, and the complexity of the role, ensuring a fair and competitive salary. Our range is intentionally broad to support growth and long-term impact, with fully established hires typically starting around the midpoint. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise and lasting contributions, while offers below the midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop. This approach ensures that compensation aligns with both an individual’s current capabilities and their opportunity for future growth.

Base salary is just one part of a total compensation package that will include equity rewards, annual stipends for health and wellness, retirement savings matching, and an extended health package with fully paid premiums for body and mind. Your professional growth matters to us too! You’ll have access to a dedicated talent development program that includes career coaching and opportunities for career development.

We believe in transparency and open conversations about compensation. If you have any questions about our approach, we’re happy to discuss them throughout the hiring process!

What you can expect from Jobber:

  • A total compensation package that includes an extended health benefits package with fully paid premiums for both body and mind, matching in RRSP, TFSA or FHSA, and stock options.

  • A dedicated Talent Development team and access to coaching, learning, and leadership programs to help you grow your career, reach your goals, and unlock your full potential.

  • A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a $400-billion industry that has no dominant player...yet.

  • To work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and give a sh*t about our customers.

We believe that diverse teams perform better and that fostering an inclusive work environment is a key part of growing a successful team. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to working with applicants requesting accommodation at any stage of the hiring process.
